Frequently asked

What is Hugarden?

A free web space where you rest in a forest you can look around in 360 degrees, choose healing sounds, and use a breathing guide and a meditation timer. No account is needed.

Are the singing bowl sounds recordings?

No. Every sound, including the singing bowl, tingsha, frame drum, rain and waves, is generated live in your browser. Each sound has a thin or deep tone and a pitch bar.

How do I do diaphragmatic breathing?

Choose diaphragmatic breathing in the breathing guide: breathe in through the belly for 4 seconds as the circle grows, hold for 2, then breathe out slowly for 6 as it shrinks. 4-7-8 and box breathing (4-4-4-4) are also available.

What timer modes are there?

A counter that counts up from zero, a countdown from a chosen time, and a custom time you type in minutes and seconds. A singing bowl rings at the start and the end.

Can I listen before sleep?

Yes. Unpitched sounds such as rain or a stream at low brightness and volume work well. Closing the page stops every sound.
